Miki City lies on an alluvium terrace surrounded with greenery. The Minogawa River - a branch of the Kakogawa River, and the Japan Standard Time meridian line, 135°east longitude, run through the center of the city. Miki is located in the north west of Kobe City.

Miki is famous throughout Japan as one of the oldest blacksmith towns producing high quality hardware. We are also renowned for growing a special kind of rice known as Yamadanishiki used to brew high qualified Sake.

Miki is expected to continue to be developed as a satellite and residential city of the Hanshin Industrial Urban Zone.
